CFA Society Seattle has benefited greatly from its participation in CWIM events over the last few years. Prior to CWIM, most of our local Women’s Network’s focus was on creating high quality gender diversity events for our local investment professionals. Our participation in the globally-oriented, virtual CWIM programming has increased the quantity of diversity-related events we can offer our members and expanded our networking opportunities well beyond Seattle. Furthermore, it has allowed us to shift our limited volunteer resources from hosting events to establishing local, on-the-ground programs that teach financial literacy to high school women, hopefully encouraging some of them to pursue a career in finance.
